Alaska Railroad The historic Alaska Railroad provides daily round-trip service to Seward aboard the Coastal Classic. Enjoy the magnificent scenery and wildlife of the Turnagain Arm and Chugach National Forest at a leisurely pace. Take a turn in the unassigned seats of the upper-deck viewing cars, enjoy a delicious meal in the dining car, and shop for souvenirs in the onboard gift shop. Most of all, enjoy the exceptional service of the friendly staff. The Alaska Railroad places a local tour guide in each railcar to provide narration and answer questions. These young people have completed a course in the nature and history of the area, and each one brings his or her own unique stories of growing up in the Last Frontier.
